This is a civilian position providing care to specialized U.S. active duty military personnel stationed in Asia. The position is part of a new Human Performance team that will work to optimize fitness and quality of life for military personnel who undergo extreme stresses to their bodies in the line of duty.

Chiropractor Job Overview:

  • Provide pre-habilitation of musculoskeletal conditions in specialized military personnel
  • Evaluate and provide pre-habilitative assessment and maintenance to personnel. Pre-habilitation is intended to strengthen core musculoskeletal system to enhance resistance to neck and back injury.
  • Overall musculoskeletal strengthening and health lifestyle education is addressed as part of an overall health maintenance program to enhance injury resistance. Such overall strength and conditioning, focusing on neck and back, will improve the overall quality of life for personnel. 
  • Assess and treat MSK injury and pain.
  • Working with other team members will provide care and treatment for musculoskeletal
  • pain and injury. The goal of treatment is to minimize pain, decrease the impact of pain and injury to the unit mission, and enhance the quality of life of assigned members.
  • Advise unit commanders on matters related to injury of personnel. Identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop protocols and standard operating procedures (SOP) for neck and back injury.
  • Refer personnel with a new duty-limiting condition to the servicing MTF.
  • Provide Human Performance and Pre-habilitative trending metrics report
  • Provide routine clinical chiropractic care


Chiropractor Job Qualifications:

  • Licensure: active, current, unrestricted. Any U.S. state. 
  • CPR / AED
  • Doctorate Degree from an American University certified by the Council on Chiropractic Education
  • Experience working with professional and/or collegiate athletes, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of four (4) years' experience, highly preferred


  • Ability to design and present computer-generated outcome analysis information in order to provide timely and effective peer and higher level educational programs or project briefings.
  • Oral and written communication skills in order to meaningfully interact with peers, outside agencies, vendors, providers, and Military Health System (MHS) stakeholders to exchange information, provide briefings and presentations, participate in research, and develop metrics to demonstrate or advance effective and efficient aircrew neck and back pain prevention.
  • Skill in effective team dynamics in order to facilitate the exchange of information/education, enhance goal achievement, and identify change in system or policy at any level.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations, professional code of ethics, AF guidance, DoD guidance, and practice standards in order to ensure adherence within legal and professional parameters.
  • Knowledge and skill in using quality and risk management programs to identify issues to improve practice and ensure compliance.
  • Skill in use of research tools in order to critically evaluate existing practices, opportunities, and outcomes.
  • Knowledge of computers and software applications in order to conduct data collection, tracking, trending, and analysis.
