Physician - Neurologist job in El Paso, Texas. 

The job is within the extensive military medical system and is a civilian position. Civilian and military personnel work together in hospitals and medical clinics provide services to the active duty military service members, military retirees, and their families.

Physician - Neurologist job Overview: 

  • Recommending appropriate referrals to other health care providers in accordance with policies and regulations. 
  • Provide primary and specialty medical care for the sick and wounded within the limits of training and the privileges as granted
  • Attend and participate in patient care reports, patient care conferences, team conferences, professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities only to the extent that such attendance and participation is related to his/her assigned cases and/or performance of contract services as determined by the supervisor. 
  • Consults with other HCPs on the diagnosis and appropriate treatment of patients.
  • Orders and interprets laboratory tests, radiographs, electrocardiograms, and other data necessary to complete the appropriate evaluation of patients.
  • Participates in peer review and performs appropriate ICD-9 coding for all evaluations and services rendered. 
  • Prepare all documentation to meet or exceed established standards to include but not limited to: timeliness, legibility, accuracy, content and signature.
  • Provides and documents appropriate history, physical examination, and required laboratory and x-ray examinations, as required.
  • Prescribe pharmaceuticals shall do so according to the availability of drugs listed
  • Respect and maintain the basic rights of patients, demonstrating concern for personal dignity and human relationships. 
  • Advise of any problems encountered in connection with meeting the needs of patients

 

Physician - Neurologist job Qualification:

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
  • Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada.
  • One year internship, in either Internal Medicine or Medicine/Surgery
  • At least three years of specialty training in an accredited neurology residency
  • Minimum two years experience within past two years working as a Neurologist Physician 
  • Board Certification: American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology 
  • DEA
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers by the AHA
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Florida.
