Administrative Assistant job in Annapolis, Maryland.

Administrative Assistant Job Overview:

The Task Order Administrative Specialist is responsible for accurately logging, entering, maintaining and updating all task orders and vital statistics of each task order from the Government Portal and any other mechanisms so that the task order response teams for the contracts can respond with precision. This trusted person starts the Task Order Proposal Response so that the team can successfully and accurately bid.

A successful candidate is someone who is very reliable, highly detailed oriented and takes pride in precision and accuracy. The candidate must be comfortable working in fast-moving environment where new information causes regular changes that will impact the decision-making process for the bid. The candidate must be able to work on multiple task orders concurrently and able to record and update data ahead of the TOPR team for evaluation and review.

  1. Insert TO data by inputting text based and numerical information from source documents and online portal
  2. Compile, verify for accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare data for review by the response team daily
  3. Review data for deficiencies or errors and correct promptly
  4. Update and monitor task orders and enter data daily and without exception
  5. Precision and accuracy expected at all times

 

Administrative Assistant Job Qualifications:

  1. Strong organizational skills and a positive can-do motivated attitude to get the job done to support the team
  2. Eagle eye, detailed oriented and accuracy are top priorities.
  3. Experience with MS Office and Excel
  4. Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  5. Must be organized with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands This role operates in a professional environment, routinely using standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position; days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless an alternate work schedule is approved. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as role duties demand.

Travel Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
