Research and Data Analyst Associate Job Overview:

Government Contract Junior Pricing Analyst will be responsible for pricing activities, including preparation and management of all aspects of the pricing process. 

Research and Data Analyst Associate Job Function:

  1. Review Government Request for Proposals (RFP) and Task Orders (TO) to determine general and specific cost requirements associated with bid.
  2. Assist with pricing strategy and work closely with senior management to develop complete pricing model for each opportunity assigned.
  3. Analyze and research reliable sources (salary information from FSR, past and current work, competitive win/loss analysis, internet sources etc) for relevant wage data, trends, historical data, work categories and other related information.
  4. Pull together an analysis of wages to incorporate into established pricing templates.
  5. Operating the template model is necessary; the critical output would be facilitating the model for decision making and determining the most impactful levers within each bid.
  6. Prepare pricing presentation to senior management and discuss with team as necessary
  7. Ensure pricing compliance with contracts team.
  8. Maintain cost data repository for guidance when pricing future bids.
  9. Follow through the contract post award to analyze bid vs actual results.

Research and Data Analyst Associate Required Education and Experience Qualifications:

  1. Must be proficient in Excel
  2. Must be able to move fast and be flexible to work with the proposal team.
  3. During heavy proposal period there might be irregular hours.
  4. Candidate must be comfortable working in fast-moving environments where new information causes regular changes and a need to model and analyze scenarios in near real time.
  5. Precision and accuracy expected at all times


Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role operates in a professional environment, routinely using standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position; days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless an alternate work schedule is approved. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as role duties demand.

Travel Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
