The Physician - Cardiologist Invasive job is within the military medical system and is a civilian position. Civilian and military personnel work together in the extensive military medical system. The hospitals and medical clinics provide services to the active duty military service members, military retirees, and their families and provide a full range of medical services.

Physician - Cardiologist Invasive Job Overview:

  • Provide outpatient consultation for the diagnosis and management of diseases and disorders of the cardiovascular system considering the medical history, physical exam and ancillary studies including but not limited to imaging technologies.
  • Provide primary care and consultation to hospitalized patients with medical illnesses including but not limited to cardiac failure and shock.
  • Provide oversight and management of all policies, procedures and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and directs daily and long term management strategies.
  • Provide clinical expertise.
  • Familiar with concepts of primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention.


Physician - Cardiologist Invasive Job Qualifications:

  • A doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an approved school of medicine orosteopathyis.
  • Current state licensure to practice medicine
  • Board certification in Cardiology
  • Membership with active participation in at least one professional medical organization is desirable
  • Completion of residency in Cardiology is mandatory.
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Experience caring for a wide range of patient populations, varying in age and health status, within a variety of practice setting is mandatory.
  • Basic computer skills and healthcare data systems knowledge are required.
  • Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Registration
