Job Opening for a Registered Nurse (RN) Disease Management in Las Vegas, NV. 

The Registered Nurse (RN) position is Monday - Friday DAYS only! Incumbents, please reach out to us. 

The hospital is located on Nellis Air Force Base and the Registered Nurse (RN) Disease Management position is a civilian position providing services within the extensive military medical system, which provides services to active duty service members, military retirees, and their families. Civilian and military personnel work together in the hospitals and clinics. The employment is contingent upon contract award. It is a wonderful opportunity to work in a fantastic medical system serving an inspiring patient population. 

The position will includes:

  • cultural, educational, physical and psychosocial factors that affect patients/families
  • change theory and its application in the healthcare setting
  • data analysis and evaluation to identify and extract information in order to identify healthcare populations at risk
  • use of benchmark data, clinical guidelines, research concepts, and tools, health promotions and/or wellness programs to effect changes in clinical practice and improve outcomes of specific populations
  • Disease management and/or population health management

Registered Nurse (RN) Disease Management Requirements:

  • working knowledge of APGs, DRGs, ICD, and CPT coding 
  • experience in Patient Advocacy, Patient Privacy, and Customer Relations
  • must be able to perform prospective, concurrent, and retrospective EHR and hard copy medical records reviews
  • BSN from nursing school accrediated by agency recognized by the DOE
  • RN License (active, current, unrestricted. Any U.S. State or Territory)
  • 5 years experience as a RN in direct patient care in a clinical setting 
  • 12 consecutive months of disease management
  • Certification in disease-management, such as Chronic Care Professionals, Certified Diabetes Educator, Certified Asthma Educator OR 2 years for BSN of full-time disease management experience.
