Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Women's Health in Cocoa Beach, FL. 

The Registered Nurse (RN) Women's Health position is at Patrick Air Force Base AFB and is a civilian position providing services within the extensive military medical system, which provides services to active duty service members, military retirees, and their families. Civilian and military personnel work together in the hospitals and clinics. As a civilian healthcare provider, you will have a dedicated FSR Program Manager supporting you in addition to an office providing administrative support. Position contingent upon contract award. It is a wonderful opportunity to work in a fantastic medical system serving an inspiring patient population.

Registered Nurse (RN) Women's Health qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing
  • Graduate from a college or university accredited by NLNAC or CCNE
  • two years experience in the last 3 years in a women's health arena
  • RN License (any U.S. State or Territory honored. Current, full, active, and unrestricted)

Registered Nurse (RN) Women's Health position overview

  • Promote preventive and health maintenance care, to include annual physicals/health assessments, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling
  • Complete orientation and competency verification programs IAW unit guidelines
  • Effectively communicate during patient education and telephone triage of patients.
  • Complete accurate documentation of all patient activities IAW unit/medical treatment facility requirements
  • Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Perform physical exam and health histories
  • Provide health promotions, counseling, and education
  • Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
  • Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
  • Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
  • Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate
