Exciting job opening for a Physical Therapist at Fort Bragg Army Base in Fayetteville, NC. 

The Physical Therapist will work as part of a human performance team within a Special Operations military unit supporting the POTFF Program. Come be a part of an interdisciplinary team who supports our most elite warriors!

*This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance*

Program overview:

The USSOCOM Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF)'s mission is to build and implement a superior holistic approach to address the pressure on the force and also the increased stress on operators' families. The mission is accomplished by increasing the physical, mental and spiritual capacity of the SOF Tactical Athletes over their careers, decreasing the rate of physical and emotional injuries from all causes, and significantly accelerating return to duty times. The program's end state is to prepare, preserve, sustain and ultimately multiply SOCOM's combat power by application of integrated inter-disciplinary personal services teams.

 Physical Therapist position qualifications:

-Master's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy

-CSCS or like Certification

-SCS/OCS or ATC Certification

-Demonstrated history of perfroming manual therapy and experience in sports medicine field working w/ elite athletes is recommended.

-Capable of meeting physical demands of training with SOF including ability to hike over rough terrain/functionin austere environments 

Preferred Physical Therapist position Qualifications:

-Ability to relocate in a timely manner (if applicable)

-Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/BLS) as certified by the American Heart Association

Physical Therapist position Overview:

-evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions

-evaluate and treat patients with or without referrals

-Provide musculoskeletal injury care, utilizing approved supplemental clinical privileges including the ordering of imaging studies, laboratory tests, basic pharmaceuticals, and referrals to specialty providers

-Directly supervises the PT Tech and PT Assistant within their scope of practice

-Participates in periodic meetings to review the care provided to patients

-Identifies opportunities for improvement

-Serves as an advisor to the HPP Manager in matters related to injury prevention, SM, and rehabilitation

-Serves as an advisor to the HPP Manager for administrative matters, purchasing of supplies and equipment, and supplemental fiscal requests

-Conducts equipment, product, and literature reviews to ensure the HPP stays current with the provision of care

-Provides input for the development and utilization of relevant databases

-Conducts collection and reporting of workload data as requested by the HPP Manager

-Assists the HPP Manager in developing and updating criteria-based job descriptions and performance standards

-Develops and promulgates training opportunities for the HPP staff to enhance career development, potential for advancement and to further professional expertise

-Attends annual required training in accordance with guiding instructions
