FSR (Federal Staffing Resources) is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to provide services at Joint Base Lewis McChord located in Tacoma, Washington.

This position is a civilian position providing services within the extensive military medical system, which provides services to active duty service members, military retirees, and their families. Civilian and military personnel work together in the hospitals and clinics. As a civilian healthcare provider, you will have a dedicated FSR Program Manager supporting you in addition to an office providing administrative support.

This is a RARE and EXCITING opportunity to work with top tier elite athletes. This position will work with military units as direct care providers. 


-Master's Degree in Physical Therapy

-Certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) as either an OCS or SCS OR Certification through the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) as a Certified Athletic Trainer

-Credentials such as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association

-Demonstrated history of performing manual therapy and experience in the sports medicine field working with elite athletes

-Must be capable of meeting physical demands of training with the athletes, including the ability to hike over rough terrain and function in austere environments to observe training evolutions

-Ability to assist with strength and conditioning testing and training protocols and lift and manipulate loads or weights up to 20 kilograms

This position requires a current, active SECRET Clearance. 



-evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions

-evaluate and treat patients with or without referrals

-Provide musculoskeletal injury care, utilizing approved supplemental clinical privileges including the ordering of imaging studies, laboratory tests, basic pharmaceuticals, and referrals to specialty providers

-Directly supervises the PT Tech and PT Assistant within their scope of practice

-Participates in periodic meetings to review the care provided to patients

-Identifies opportunities for improvement

-Serves as an advisor to the HPP Manager in matters related to injury prevention, SM, and rehabilitation

-Serves as an advisor to the HPP Manager for administrative matters, purchasing of supplies and equipment, and supplemental fiscal requests

-Conducts equipment, product, and literature reviews to ensure the HPP stays current with the provision of care

-Provides input for the development and utilization of relevant databases

-Conducts collection and reporting of workload data as requested by the HPP Manager

-Assists the HPP Manager in developing and updating criteria-based job descriptions and performance standards

-Develops and promulgates training opportunities for the HPP staff to enhance career development, potential for advancement and to further professional expertise

-Attends annual required training in accordance with guiding instructions
